Today is National Running Day... So Get Off Your @$$ and Run!

Ok... so I'm a day late. This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but life and mommydom sort of got in the way...

I wish I could say that I love running. I know it is great for you, but ehhhh. Now that I'm focused on losing weight and being healthier, I'm really trying to give it a shot and become a runner {like my dad}, so I knew that I had to take the chance to review this hilariously titled book.

Just What I Needed! Get Sexy Abs, 5 Minutes At A Time! AKA: GMYMO With David Kirsch and LookTV

Quite honestly, it's going to require that I shed quite a few more pounds before I have anything in my midsection that slightly resembles abs, but I'm definitely going to be incorporating this routine so that I can chisel my belly down even quicker! No More Waddle!!! AKA: GMYMO with David Kirsch and LookTV

I HAD to share this week's episode of 5 Minute Quickies with David Kirsch because I KNOW I'm not the only one struggling with my upper arm area! Don't let the fact that your arms will most likely be covered up for the rest of the season keep you from working on this important area. It truly is the perfect time to get right and tight for next year. So join me on my journey to get Angela Bassett's arms!

Ever wonder how to sculpt biceps, triceps and shoulders without investing in a gym membership? In this episode of 5 Minute Quickies, fitness and wellness expert David Kirsch shows you three different types of push-ups (plus a fun trick involving two shampoo bottles) that you can do anywhere, anytime to help tone your arms into tank top-worthy shape.

I'm definitely putting these moves into action TODAY! I love this series and hope that you lovelies enjoy it too! What are your problem areas? What would you like to see covered on 5 Minute Quickies? Got 5 Minutes? Put It Towards Your Butt!-AKA GMYMO (With David Kirsch and LookTV)

Alright, alright! I know you lovelies know that I'm a mommy to 3 girls: 2 of which are under 5, and one that is obsessed with breastfeeding. So I don't have to tell you that time is a very precious commodity and I very rarely get to spend any on myself. That makes my quest to get fit a little bit more difficult. That's why I love the idea of these new 5 minute workouts from David Kirsch and LookTV on YouTube (just what I need, another reason to love YouTube)!

LookTV is a new fashion and beauty channel on YouTube brought to you by the creators of Project Runway. They've enlisted fitness and wellness expert and celebrity trainer David Kirsch to share the same sculpting secrets he's used when training clients like Heidi Klum, Liv Tyler, and Dr. Oz. In this premiere episode, David shares quick tips and tricks for targeting the hips and butts (just in time to get ready for those form fitting sweater dresses). These toning moves can be implemented at anytime and anywhere. So enjoy lovelies, make sure to go to YouTube and subscribe to LookTV. And join me in getting your yummy mummy on!

GMYMO: Jump Rope Fitness

In my fitness journey, I've realized that in order for me to stay motivated to work out regularly, it has to be fun. And to get the best results, you have to change up your routine occasionally so that your body is forced to adjust and work differently/harder. So while I love my Zumba, I was on the lookout for something that was easy to do at home, in limited space, and with my little ones under foot.

Getting My Yummy Mummy On: Tone Up for Summer with David Kirsch

I'm making a public declaration: "I'm taking my body back!" I've been pregnant and/or nursing a baby since September 2007 and I'm ready to claim my body for myself and get my "yummy mummy" on. I started by making some adjustments to my diet (drinking more water, cutting out soda, trading in junk food for fruits, veggies, and nuts, and focusing on lean proteins, good fats, and fiber in my meals), and now I'm working on making exercise a regular part of my routine.

Maybe you are like me and looking to improve your overall wellness and fitness, or maybe the fact that the warm summer months are  ushering in the arrival of bikini season have you motivated to tone up a bit. Either way, celebrity trainer David Kirsch has tips on how to shape up any problem areas you may have, getting you ready for your debut in that teeny-weeny bikini (personally, I just want to be comfortable wearing my one piece suit without a cover-up)!

Just in time to give us a head start and direction on the path to wellness, trainer to the stars David Kirsch is hosting a Facebook chat to help fitness novices (like myself), gym bunnies, and everyone in between.
