So yeah, that's me. I'm not so good at the self portraiture, but I'm hoping if I do it more, I'll get better. My hair is in two strand twists that I just pulled up and back (it actually looks really cool, but I can't figure out how to get a good picture of it). My bracelet is from BaubleBar (I'm obsessed with them lately) and the watch is from Send The Trend (love them too!). But on to the important stuff-the makeup!
On my face, I'm wearing Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream in Medium/Deep and Smashbox High Definition Concealer Medium/Dark. On my cheeks, I'm wearing Rimmel London Lasting Finish Powder Blush in Pink Sorbet (which I raved about here).
On my eyes, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original) is the base, and then I used Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Black to make a cat eye on the top lid and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion to tightline and in my lower waterline. I used Fantasy Eyeliner from the Emotional Brilliance Collection from LUSH and traced it right on top of the black liner and directly under the wing. I curled my lashes and then applied copious coats of Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Flared Waterproof Mascara on my top lashes and Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara on my lower lashes (it is absolutely perfect for that, which I shared here).
For the lips, I started with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I applied this before I even started my makeup application, in order to give it time to soak in and moisturize my lips so that they were not rough, dry and flaky when attempting this bold lip. After rubbing the excess cream off, I lined and filled in my lips with NYX Lipliner Pencil in 824 Orange and then pressed Rimmel London Kate Moss Iconic Collection Lip Color in 11 (you cansee swatches of it here) on top and smoothed it out with my finger.
So what do you think? I usually go for gloss and pinky nudes on the lips, so this look is totally new for me. Do you like these kinds of post? What would you like to see? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
