Mani Monday: Anatomy of a Mani with Sally Hansen!

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish!

Cute little baby toes!

It all started with Kenzie! We were in Peyton's room while she was getting ready for school when Kenzie spotted the bottle of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Pacific Blue on big sis' dresser. She promptly brought to me and said "Paint toes!" I decided to oblige. Then she saw another bottle of Sally Hansen polish {if you couldn't tell already, we're a fan of the brand as a family}, this one in Breezy Blue, and asked me to "Paint hands!" And so I did. And I was inspired! Her polish picks helped me figure out what I was going to do for Mani Monday...

The tools of the trade, all by Sally Hansen

I decided to use both Breezy Blue and Pacific Blue and add Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Color in Fuzz-Sea {sent to me for review} to the mix as well.

Here's the thing {don't judge me}, I literally rush to take pictures of my manicures almost as soon as they are done because I just know that 5 minutes after I finish polishing that last nail, inevitably they are going to be ruined and unphotographable {we're talking, even worse than they look pre-cleanup}. So...yeah...

I love how Pacific Blue is deep and bright at the same time, and I think it would look fantastic on toes {like Kenzie I suppose}. It's been a lemming of mine for a while, and though I have yet to find my own bottle of the popular polish, Peyton was able to find her's while away with family one weekend {lucky girl}! I'm not quite sure how she happened upon the bottle of Breezy Blue, perhaps she swapped with a friend from school, but just like Kenzie knew she had to wear them both, I too had to combine them together for a manicure of my own.

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Color in Fuzz-Sea

I was sent this bottle of the new Fuzzy Coat Textured polish over the summer, but other than layering it over white, I just couldn't figure out what to do with it. It wasn't until I saw the two other Sally Hansen shades that I was inspired to actually pull it out and use it. For my ring and and pointer fingers, I started with one coat over the entire nail, a second from mid nail to tip, and then a third coat on the tip-I was attempting to go for a gradiant effect, and though it didn't quite translate, I still like the result. I only added a strip of the Fuzzy Coat polish to my middle finger to cover up an oopsie I made trying to get something for Kenzie {see, I told you they get messed up with the quickness}. So there you have it! Here's a better shot of what they looked like in the sunlight...

What are you wearing this Mani Monday? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what shades you're rocking! Until next time...
