A Visit to the Image Factory with a Firecracker to Take a Master Class! AKA: My Fall Smashbox Favorites

I'm not going to ramble on about this, because this post is picture heavy. These are a few of my favorite pieces for the fall from one of my favorite cosmetic companies, Smashbox Cosmetics. There are a few pieces from the Fall 2012 Image Factory Collection (which I previewed here), my favorite red lip gloss (because I'm wearing red now; it's a relatively new development), and one of the gems of my makeup collection, The Master Class Palette...

Image Factory AirBlush in Berry Bliss

Image Factory AirBlush in Berry BlissA superblendable, mousse-like blush for airbrushed-looking cheeks. This blush provides an instantly healthy look to cheeks. The lasting formula contains ultra-fine pigments for blendability and silicone elastomers to minimize the appearance of imperfections for a perfectly radiant glow. (This is such a pretty, creamy, richly pigmented shade! It blends in like butter and leaves a lovely natural flush.)

Image Factory Waterproof Shadow Liner in Bronze

Image Factory Waterproof Shadow Liner in Bronze:  A stay-put waterproof eye shadow and long-wearing liner in one. It give eyes soft definition wherever, whenever with this travel-friendly, mistake-proof shadow liner. The creamy waterproof formula glides on effortlessly for endless possibilities. You can smudge it as a liner or blend it as a shadow (there is an included smudger for allover, longwearing color.) Light-reflecting pearls give high-drama color and shimmer, while emollients create a silky, creamy texture. (This reads more brown than bronze on the skin, and there are little gold micro shimmers throughout that the camera can't quite pick up. But this is a gorgeous and super convenient product. You can use it as a base to create a beautiful smoky eye and I love to smudge it along my lower lash line instead of a black liner when I want a softer look.)

Reflection High Shine Lip Gloss in Firecracker

Reflection High Shine Lip Gloss in Firecracker: A high-shine gloss that saturates lips in high-impact shine. Formulated with hyaluronic acid for moisture and highly reflective pearl for reflective shine, your lips will be primed to pucker perfection. (I LOVE this gloss. It is my goal to own every shade. This particular shade is a sheer, juicy red that works fine all on its own for a subtle dose of color, or layered on top of your favorite red lip liner or lipstick for more impact.)

And the Queen of the castle: The Master Class Palette

The Master Class Palette: A superloaded palette inspired by the bags full of product Smashbox pro artists bring on set. With all the photo-ready essentials in one place, The Master Class Palette by Smashbox is jam-packed with 28 Photo Op Eyeshadows, four brow tech powders, eight cream eyeliners, two blushes, three soft lights, and four lip glosses. Featuring Smashbox’s core eye shadow formula for the ultimate in blendability and pigmentation, this palette contains everything you need to dust, blend, and swipe your way to a multitude of looks.

The left side of the palette contains 28 of Smashbox's most popular eye shadows and 4 brow tech powders.

This set contains: 28 Eyeshadows (starting at top left corner) in Vanilla, Frost, Butter, Parfait, Ambiant, Frambois, Peacock, Cabernet, Serpent, Aubergine, Azure, Ash, Opal, Linen, Flirt, Nectar, Granite, Golden Orchid, Dusk, Cinnamon Toast, Blackout.

The right side of the palette contains 2 blushes, 3 soft lights, and 4 lip glosses.

Honestly, I feel like with the Master Class Palette, I'd never need to buy another palette again. Of course that's not going to happen, but you get my point. It is simply spectacular! Included with the palette was a little pamphlet to give you some direction as to how to get started with the massive selection in front of you...

There are instructions on how to accomplish 3 unique looks: Close Up Cat Eye, Color Play, and Smoky Starlet

I can't wait to dip my brushes into every color in the palette, and the blush, shadow liner, and lip gloss are already regular visitors in my makeup bag. Have you had a chance to add any of these picks to your collection? What is your favorite Smashbox product? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
