Streekers Totally Make Me Jelly...

It's been ages since I've dyed my hair and with the exception of 2 or 3 grays, I have a head full of very (very) dark tresses. I've grown to love my natural color and don't often wish to change it, but some of the latest trends have me itching for a change. I love the look of chalking and admired the look of pink highlights on the likes of Demi Lovato, January Jones, Lauren Conrad. Come to think of it, I've always been a fan of off the wall touches of color, ever since Gwen Stefani started sporting them way back when. Recently, Christina Aguilera transitioned the look for fall, by adding purple streaks to the tips of her blonde tresses.

It's never been easier to get a similar pop of color right at home and without the commitment of of permanent dyes, with Streekers! With a rainbow of shades to choose from (from l-r in the picture above: Ultra Violet, Orange, Red, Green, Pink, Yellow, Blue, and Purple), Streekers allow you to change your look instantly. Each vibrant highlighting hue is true to color and its handy sponge applicator tip guarantees flawless coverage and precise control for easy application. Streekers uses advanced technology to actually bond the hair color to your hair, yet allows you the freedom to change your mind, as it washes out super easily.

Here's the thing though-if you have light or highlighted hair, Streekers are awesome and I highly recommend them. If you have dark hair like me, however, they really won't do much for you. I was super stoked to try them out (I have the Orange and Blue versions), but my hair is way too dark for the products to make any kind of impact (it was rather interesting when I washed my hair though; it took me a minute to figure out why the water was trailing blue). But if you have blonde or light brown hair, for $11.95 a bottle, you should definitely give Streekers a try! Until next time...
