Testing, Testing: AHA Brazilian Peel Clear, Pt. 1

It's possible that I try out more skin care products than the average woman: don't be jelly though, it's all for you lovelies (ha)! Since I like to take at least a few weeks to do accurate reviews on skin care items, I thought that perhaps I would start doing an introduction to a product right as I begin to test it. That way if you were thinking about making a purchase but were unsure, or maybe you have a specific need but don't know what's out there, this could give you a heads up. Then after I've had some time to try it and see how it works, I'll come back with a follow up review/results post.

Right now, one of the new products I'm trying is Advanced Home Actives Brazilian Peel Clear Salicylic Acid Acne TreatmentBrazilian Peel Clear is a two-step acne treatment that effectively clears and prevents blemishes. It combines salicylic acid acne treatment with professional strength 25% glycolic acid & nourishing açai antioxidant protection and includes:
A weekly salicylic acid acne and professional-strength, self-neutralizing glycolic peel clinically proven safe for at-home use
Acne control Booster Pads for daily use
Here is the product description (from the Advanced Home Actives website) :

The Science of Clear Skin
Together, the dermatologic benefits of 25% glycolic, the antioxidant properties of natural açaì berry, the innovation of Q-Mag Neutralizer, and the acne-fighting properties of salicylic acid define the science of Brazilian Peel Clear, the Antidote to Acne.

Brazilian Peel Clear is formulated WITHOUT:
  • Sulfates
  • Synthetic Dyes
  • Petrochemicals
  • Phthalates
  • GMOs
  • Triclosan

It would be an understatement to say that I'm stoked to try this out! Other than the occasional, hormone induced breakout, I don't have a huge problem with acne, but I have been on the lookout for something to make my complexion more consistent. Between it's promise of acne treatment, pore refinement, and more, Brazilian Peel Clear sounds like it might just be what I was looking for. I suppose we shall see! Until next time...
Here's before:

Stay tuned for after!

PS-This product was sent for consideration/review by the company or PR. I was not paid for this post and all opinions stated are 100% honest and my own :)

  1. I can't wait to see the after results. This sounds like such an awesome product!

P.S. I have never tried butter LONDON before, but Knackered has been on my wish list! :)

    1. Hopefully I can get a better picture for the after, self portaiture gives me agita!

Knackered is GORGEOUS! It's one of those multi dimensional polishes that looks different at every angle and when the light hits it, it's breath taking. I used 3 or 4 coats to get the desired opacity, but there was no bubbling and it turned out quite smoothly. I think it will look lovely as a top coat as well or layered over a nude or white polish to give it more pop. Let me know if you give it a try!

  2. These tips are really very helpful. I got a good knowledge from your post. Thanks a lot for enjoying this beauty article with me. It is very interesting for me to read this blog.
