A "Dead-End Gorgeous" Mani! (Fall Into Beauty with NCLA)

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish!

Meet the sexiest and savviest colors in the room with our four hottest shades. They know their way around town and they're always on the VIP list! That's how NCLA describes their latest collection, North of Sunset. The four shade collection is perfect for the fall and is a mix of glitters and cremes. Dead-End Gorgeous is the third shade from the collection that I'm sharing {see My Dad Invented That and Laurel Canyon Lolita}, and I have to admit that it is pretty aptly named{Sent for review}

Anatomy of a Mani! AKA: Mama's Mani Madness

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish! And I did this particular manicure in the car, so I think I did quite well considering the circumstances...

Mally Beauty Introduces an At Home Gel Polish Kit

Mally 24/7 PROFESSIONAL GEL POLISH SYSTEM

Nail polish is one of my all time favorite beauty products. For a time, I loved going to the salon to get them done (first tips and acrylics, then later just manicures and pedicures on my natural nails), but now I truly do enjoy being able to do them myself at home. Not only is it less expensive, it's so much easier to fix chips, change colors often, etc. when you have the right tools at your fingertips (ha).

I personally have never gotten a gel manicure (it's literally been at least 2 years since I've gotten my nails done), I have heard nothing but rave reviews about their shine and endurance. But from what I understand, a gel manicure can run at $30 each time, and for me, that's just not the business!

But with the introduction of Mally's 24/7 Professional Gel Polish System, I may soon be experimenting with gel polish at home. Here are the details:

I Don't Know What Took Me So Long! (Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Strips)

I recently got the chance to (finally) try Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips and I have no idea what took me so long to try them! If I could, I'd probably change my nail color every other day; the only reason I don't is because a base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat take FOREVER to dry (even with my beloved Seche Vite)! So it's hard to find the time to go through the process and when I do manage to do my nails (at least once a week), nine times out of ten I end up messing it up within hours of finishing it.

Salon Effects in Lust-rous

So it should've been a no brainer to give these strips a try. They require no base coat or top coat; Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips offer DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde Free, no dry time nail looks for the style that lasts up to ten days. This easy and affordable at-home nail technology puts bold color, high shine, and intricate design at your finger tips-just peel, apply, file, and go!

It took a little finagling to apply them (mind you I had the two little ones clamoring all over me), but the process was fairly simple, and I love the results!

I used 360 Laced Up (and Essie Luxe Effects on my accent nail)

I definitely plan to use these again (though probably not right before I clean up the kitchen and cook, or on a night I detangle Lo's hair like I did this time), and next time I'll try to be a little more careful and precise. I would love to try the set that Christina Aguilera wore recently on the voice, Lust-rous (pictured above)!

Have you had a chance to try these yet? How often do you change your nail color? Are you a DIY girl or do you go to the salon to get your mani/pedis done? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know all about it! Until next time...

Ciao, XxO
