Perfect Your Brows With TouchBack Brow Marker!

Over time, I have learned that your eyebrows can either make or break your look; it's really true when they say they frame your face! If your eyebrows are on the thin side (like mine), it takes more than keeping them groomed, shaped, and trimmed to have them look their best. There is quite a fine line between your eyebrows looking perfectly coiffed and Groucho Marx, and I find myself struggling to find that sweet spot in between. My hair is naturally very dark {and now it is color treated}, so often times if I try to match the color it comes of way too strong. Powders can appear much more natural, but I find that it is hard to find a matte shade in the appropriate color and even with gel, my oily complexion saps the longevity of the look. So when I learned of the TouchBack Brow Marker {sent for the purpose of review}, I was excited to give it a try.

Caterpillars No More! AKA: Give Your Brows a Natural Finish with TouchBack Brow Marker

To this day, my mother is one of the most fashionable, stylish, beautiful women that I know. For as long as can remember (and probably far beyond even that), her nightly routine included washing her face and then filling in her eyebrows with a pencil and applying some kind of color to her lips. She always made a point of being presentable at all times (even in her sleep). I never understood the point of taking off makeup just to put some back on, but now that I'm married, it makes more sense.

Another thing I never really saw the point of was filling in my brows. I've made sure that they were in a neat, natural looking arch since my early teens, but other than that (semi) regular maintenance, I left my brows alone. Enter YouTube and every gurus obsession with brows (and my personal realization after a terrible growing out period that helped me to see that they truly can make or break your look) and now I've been on a quest for the right technique and products for my brows.

Look Flawless Without Makeup

Summer is the time to set your makeup and hair tools aside and embrace your natural beauty, and even though it is technically coming to an end soon, the heat does not seem to want to leave us! So skip the fuss of hot tools, blush, mascara and highlighters and relax already!  Keep in mind that going bare does require a few pointers to look your best without heavy makeup. Here are some tips from some real beauty experts: a model,  a makeup artist and a celebrity hair stylist. I hope that their tips on looking beautiful without all the fuss help you to find your way to simple, natural beauty :)

Tip from the model:
Actress, model and socialite, Byrdie Bell’flawless skin is her best feature and she credits her amazing complexion to the Finnish natural skincare company, Lumene, for which she is Brand Ambassador. For model casting calls, Byrdie is often required to show-up with a fresh, makeup-free face. “When I go on castings and auditions, I can cheat amazing skin by applying some Arctic Aqua 2-in-1 Skin Perfecting Moisture Booster to my temples and cheekbones,” says Byrdie. “You can replace traditional highlighter with a product that actually helps out your skin and still get that dewy look!” Keeping your skin hydrated is the secret to keeping your skin moist and glowy on its own, no make-up necessary!

Lumene Sensitive Touch Arctic Aqua 2-in-1 Skin Perfecting Moisture Booster, $14.99, CVS and cvs.com
