4 Ways To Make Your Business Stand Out

If you are a small business, then you know how hard it can be to keep the store running and attract new customers. Because of this, you need to learn how to make your business stand out, so that you can compete with other businesses that are similar. Luckily, with a few easy steps, you can do so. Here are just a few ways to make your business stand out:

Become A Destination
Now, I know that not every business has the capability of making their business a destination. For example, who would want to go to a car handyman shop just to hang out? Probably not the average person. But, in some cases, you can and should make your business destination, in order to attract more business. Forbes says,  “Do whatever it takes to become a destination that shoppers set out to visit instead of the place they happen to stop in because they're in the neighborhood. Think about what makes a business stand out. Why do you pass on certain businesses and only buy from one particular brand? For some ideas, look at places where you eat out regularly.

In my case, I used to eat at a little bar in the middle of nowhere, located over 30 miles from the closest city (because I lived near there and they were the only local place to eat). This bar only served two things: hamburgers and french fries. In spite of that, people drove 30 to 40 miles to eat there because each order of french fries was made fresh from one huge russet potato, and the hamburger meat was purchased from a little old-fashioned butcher in the next town over. So even though the menu had only two items, both of them were exceptional.

Another place I went out of my way to frequent was a non-chain pizza parlor. The brothers who ran the restaurant made the best pizza I have ever tasted. They made the crust and everything else fresh every day from real ingredients. Any time I drove through their area, this is where I ate. And I even picked up their pizzas and took them to other people 30 to 60 miles away.

These reasons show why restaurants become destination choices instead of just places where people go to eat because they're the closest or the cheapest. People like to eat where the food is excellent and where they like the people.”

Professional Lettering
Professional lettering is essential to all businesses with a storefront. According to Georgia-based company, East Point Foundry, “Lettering is key to communicating professionalism and style.” First appearances are everything, especially when it comes to giving your money to a business, so you need to make sure that you stand out from the very first second that a future customers drive up to your business space. Established in 1948 and located out of East Point, Georgia, East Point Foundry says that they enjoy the process of transforming basic signage and lettering and changing it into works of art that command respect. East Point Foundry has helped thousands of businesses achieve the perfect, custom Plastic, Cast Metal, and Bronze lettering, based on preferences, theme, and applications. If you want your business to stand out, making sure that you put off a great first impression is extremely important and East Point Foundry can definitely help you achieve that goal. In addition to lettering, East Point Foundry also creates custom plaques, to help commemorate important people and institutions (maybe a great employee?).

Great Customer Service
We all have businesses that come to mind when we think of great customer service. The first one that comes to my mind is Chick-Fil-A. Most of the time I get fast food, I want Chick-Fil-A. Why? When I walk into Chick-Fil-A, I am greeted warmly, the staff are professional, their main goal is my satisfaction, and I know I will have a great experience. If you ask my friends what their favorite fast food restaurant is, many would give you a similar answer. In the world of fast food, Chick-Fil-A stands out for their excellent customer service. Great customer service will not only set your business apart, but it will give customers a great experience and make them want to come back the next time they need whatever services you offer.

Offer Something Unique
One of the ways businesses stand out is by, of course, offering something that customers cannot get anywhere else. Whether that is a product, a service, a great experience, or something else, if you are offering the exact same thing as another business that is more established than you, people will not choose to spend their resources on your lesser-known business. Get creative, and with some hard work, you can achieve success!
