4 Tips to Relax and Feel Great

There is no need to feel bad about getting stressed out and needing some “me time” – we all need it, you are no different from anybody else!  There are lots of everyday stresses and strains that can take their toll on you – and they can even have an effect on how you look. Feeling relaxed and stress-free and leave you feeling rejuvenating and glowing. It shows in your appearance. We have put together some tips as to how you can relax, and make you feel better in general.

Read a Good Book
There is nothing more relaxing than getting lost in a good book.  It gives you the opportunity to get away from mobile phones, tablets and all other online devices and escape to a different kind of reality.  Once you start your book, if you enjoy it – you won’t want to put it down. That means you are more likely to schedule in some more “me time”.  It doesn’t need to cost a lot of money either, you can get some books from the library – or ask for vouchers as gifts on special occasions.

Have a Pamper Day
Soaking in a warm candlelit bath can do wonders for your stress levels.  You can also get some facial scrubs and masks on the go and make it a proper beauty day.  Why not treat yourself to some great bath bombs or body lotion? You can get some fantastic supplies at Firefly and Lilies who have a range of bath and body products in their ‘Home and Gift’ section which are reasonably priced too. You could also give yourself a manicure, try new hairstyles and whatever else you may think will give you a bit of an ego boost.  A nice pamper day is often just what the Doctor ordered.

Do Yoga
Yoga is something that’s becoming a bit of a trend these days, and for good reason. It’s a good way for you to reduce stress levels and relax.  It’s a combination of all kinds of physical poses, meditation and controlled breathing. As well as being good exercise, it can actually lower your blood pressure and it’s not too difficult for you to get to grips with no matter how difficult the poses initially look.  Scheduling in some time for yoga can be great for your overall health.
Focus on Positive Outcomes
When you are feeling a little stressed out, it can be natural for you to think about all of the negatives in life.  This will only add to any anxiety. When this happens, make sure that you think about all of the good things you have done recently.  It could be something as little as a difficult task that you for whatever reason managed to pull off. It’s a great reminder that you can and have done things well, and that alone can cause you to relax.
When you feel good about yourself and are relaxed – this is when you are more likely to look your best. Make sure you schedule in some time for yourself and reduce those stress levels.
