Olay Luminous 28 Day Challenge Results...

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Olay. The opinions and text are all mine.

I can't even tell you how excited I was to be invited to participate in the Olay Luminous 28 Day Challenge! Olay has been synonymous with beautiful complexions for generations and the way that they've diversified the brand is so progressive. In fact, the Luminous line is a real draw for women of color (or all women really) who want their skin to glow, but not look oily. I gravitate towards products that help to highlight my skin tone and complexion, especially since I don't incorporate foundation in my makeup routine. My skin needs to look and feel healthy, smooth, and glowy without being greasy. Olay Luminous products are touted to help you achieve the "Fresh Face"/"no-makeup" look in four easy steps! {Products provided for review/feature consideration}

So for the past 28 days (or so), I've been using the Olay Luminous Micellar Water, Olay Luminous Miracle Boost Concentrate, and Olay Luminous Light Hydrating Lotion during the day (and switch out the lotion for the Olay Luminous Overnight Mask at night) - and I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed with the results.

I'm a huge fan of Micellar Water, and the packaging of this one is perfect! I love the flat pump and twist dispenser - it makes using the product so easy and clean and reduces waste. It did an excellent job of removing my eye makeup (and I live by waterproof, black eyeliner), though I found that I needed two soaked cotton rounds to completely clean my face when I went all out with my eye makeup. It left my face feeling clean without a squeaky, tight, or dry feeling.

--> The Olay Luminous Miracle Boost Concentrate is an advanced tone perfecting, ultra-lightweight formula booster, designed to work best with a Luminous Moisturizer. The Face Booster blends Olay’s most potent tone-perfecting ingredients ever to fades the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone, and its lightly scented formula has a consistency and feel of a face serum. It uses Pearl-Optics™ Science to enhance skin’s absorbency with hydration. I found that it absorbed really well and I noticed a marked difference in a particularly pesky hyper pigmentation spot on my chin.

--> The Olay Luminous Light Hydrating Lotion is a lightweight face moisturizer that hydrates to plump skin, even skin tone and fade the look of dark spots to illuminate skin. It is a non-greasy, lightly scented, ultra-fast absorbing face lotion. This too absorbs really well and left my skin feeling refreshed and not greasy. The only thing that could've made it better in my opinion would be the addition of sun protection.

The Olay Regenerist Luminous Overnight Mask is hands down my favorite product in the regimen. It works to hydrate skin overnight leaving it radiant upon waking up. The light gel consistency soaked into my skin like a dream and using it felt like a luxurious spa experience. Plus one of the key ingredients is Niacinamide, or Vitamin B3, which strengthens the skin and improves the moisture barrier to help reverse the appearance of past skin damage. Peyton has been raving about Niacinamide since early this summer and raided my skin care stash for products that contained the potent active ingredient. Needless to say, I was interested to see what all the fuss was about and now I get it. I consistently woke up to good skin days and I know it was largely due to the contents of this lovely jar, that just so happen to even skin tone at the surface cell level.

Since starting the regimen, my skin has been consistently soft and smooth. I think my favorite part of the challenge is how easy the regimen is to use; it makes it so much easier to maintain, which is bound to lead to better results. There were times that I missed my regular exfoliation step of skin care, but I think I'll continue using the Olay Luminous products and incorporate some sort of exfoliation every other day or so. This was the perfect regimen to maintain my tone and complexion, while improving on some slight issues. I think the best part of the #Olay28Day Challenge was how CONSISTENT the results were. Aside from a few hormonal breakouts (which no product can fully combat), I felt confident that my skin was at its best. I was even motivated to wear makeup (eye, lip and a bit of powder and blush) more often because my skin looked so good and I wanted to highlight it! I highly encourage you to give the Luminous line a shot and see how the #Olay28Day Challenge works for you!

Until next time...
