Cirque du Soleil's TORUK – The First Flight Returning to Atlanta (Infinite Energy Center/Duluth)

When I tell y'all I'm excited - I'M EXCITED! The beloved Cirque du Soleil is returning to Atlanta with their touring production, TORUK – The First Flight {which is based on the James Cameron’s record-breaking film AVATAR}. Following their successful run of the big top production KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities this spring, Cirque du Soleil will bring the arena show TORUK – The First Flight to the Infinite Energy Center for seven performances from June 15-19. FYI: the Infinite Energy Center is a hop, skip, and a jump away from me, I've been dying to see a Cirque du Soleil performance {for years}, AND the hubby and I are in desperate need of a date night - and we get to go to the opening night performance!!!!

TORUK – The First Flight, inspired by James Cameron’s AVATAR, a live experience by Cirque du Soleil®, envisions a world beyond imagination set thousands of years before the events depicted in the film. The word Toruk, in the Na’vi language, refers to the great leonopteryx, the mighty red and orange predator that rules the Pandoran sky. Central in Na’vi lore and culture, this fascinating creature is crucial to the Na’vi clans’ sense of destiny and interconnectedness – and is about to be ridden for the very first time by a Na’vi.

TORUK – The First Flight is Cirque du Soleil’s 37th production since 1984. The company has brought wonder and delight to more than 155 million spectators in more than 300 cities on six continents. Cirque du Soleil has close to 4,000 employees, including 1,300 performing artists from close to 50 different countries.

Show Schedule (June 15-19):

• Wednesday, June 15 at 7:30pm

• Thursday, June 16 at 7:30pm

• Friday, June 17 at 7:30pm

• Saturday, June 18 at 4:00pm and 8:00pm

• Sunday, June 19 at 1:30pm and 5:30pm

Have you ever seen a Cirque du Soleil show? I remember watching them ages ago on Bravo {way before any of the Real Housewives took over the channel} - that's how long I've been longing to see a performance! You can follow the production on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/torukthefirstflight  and find them on Twitter with #TORUK. I'll be sharing live via social media when the hubby and I go to the show next Wednesday night - have I mentioned, I'M EXCITED?!?! Until next time...
