Wunderkind Reads: Green Is Good (Liv on Life Series)

Meet the extraordinary mother-daughter team of Elizabeth Gorcey and her amazing daughter Olivia (age 8) and their highly anticipated new children's book Green Is Good where Liv and her boxer dog 'Bowie' invite us all to eat healthy and green. Green is Good is the second book in the popular Liv on Life Series, and tells the story of Liv and Bowie's first visit to a farm where she discovers that the best way to grow her favorite veggies is organically. This book is not only fun read for the kids, it also opens up a dialogue between young children and their parents on modern living, farming, healthy eating and organic food. {Book provided for review/feature consideration}

Author and mother Elizabeth Gorcey has been creating her entire life - with paint, film ( she starred in Footloose, Teen Wolf, Max Headroom), and words. Her new book series is inspired by her daughter, Olivia, who as a three-years-old began to spontaneously deliver wisdom and advice to anyone who was listening. Elizabeth dubbed her daughters musings as "Liv-Isms" and each book in the series is based on these everyday insights. Sometimes kids are the best teachers, and in encouraging her own daughter to embrace and use her authentic voice, Elizabeth realized how much adults can, and must, learn from the purity and honesty of a child's perspective. Check out Liv's videos here atwww.Youtube.com/LivonLife to see what she has to say from a children's perspective.

Elizabeth and Olivia's first book, the highly acclaimed and Beverly Hills International Book Awards nominated book Going to the Park tells the story of Liv and Bowie recognizing that Mom and Dad need a break from the stresses at work. Liv and Bowie convince their parents to put down technology and head out for a fun day at the park. Olivia is the go-to-girl for kids and parents looking for advice on how to navigate our world.

Elizabeth and her daughter worked side-by-side creating the book series and are having a blast doing it. As an aspiring writer and mother to 3 intelligent and precocious daughters, I find that particularly inspiring! Until next time...
