Fab Five Friday: Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Line

From top to bottom: Cleansing CoWash, Curl Defining Creme, Hair Milk, and Control Edge Glaze

I first discussed Eden BodyWorks last summer when I reviewed their Jojoba Monoi line, and it has since become a staple in my house {along with the Peppermint Tea Tree Oil line}. So it should come as no surprise that our house of curls is totally enamored with the new Coconut Shea line {especially since it has my favorite ingredient, COCONUT}. {Products sent for review}

Coconut Shea All Natural Cleansing Co Wash ($8.99 from edenbodyworks.com) - If you're not familiar with the term "co wash," it means conditioner wash and it is the practice of cleansing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. Women with "natural" hair have been utilizing this much gentler technique of cleaning their hair for a while now - it minimizes damage and preserves color, since conditioners don't contain harsh hue-stripping sulfates, and adds the perfect amount of hydration to strands, cutting down on frizz. Now there are conditioners on the market made specifically for co washing, and I have tried quite a few, but this is by far the best one I've used. It's creamy without being too heavy to feel cleansing, and it cleanses the scalp and hair without stripping them of moisture {which is pretty much the whole point of co washing}. I love this for myself, but I especially love it for Kenzie-she's got A LOT of hair and though it may not look like it {she suffers from the same amount of shrinkage that I do}, it is quite long and she does NOT like having it done. At all. EVER. I like to use this with her because I can basically wash, detangle, and condition in one step. It's still tough getting her to cooperate, but at least I only have to whip out one product to get the whole process done.

Coconut Shea All Natural Leave In Conditioner ($8.99 from edenbodyworks.com) - I use this EVERY DAY son! Lol! Seriously though, at least one head of hair is touched with this wonderful concoction on the daily. It's leaves curls soft and smooth and fights frizz like a champ, without any nasty build up or heaviness.

Coconut Shea Curl Defining Cream ($8.99 from edenbodyworks.com) - If I use this right after washing my hair, I am guaranteed to have beautiful, bouncy, frizz free curls with minimal fuss for at least 3 days. Oh yes, it is the business. After parting my hair into four or five sections, I apply a small amount of the cream to each them. Then I flip my head over and apply it around the perimeters of my hair and use my fingers to blend the parts and fluff my roots. Then my hair looks fantastic. For days. GUARANTEED.

Coconut Shea Control Edge Glaze ($8.99 from edenbodyworks.com) - This thick, slick jam is my jam! I use it to tame flyaways when I wear my hair up, I use it to keep the little bits' hair sleek and neat when they wear ponytails, braids, and puffs, and if I'm feeling fancy, I use it to accentuate my baby hairs just because I can {but I'm not gonna lie, that doesn't happen often}. I love that it provides great hold, imparts a beautiful sheen, and it doesn't leave a white flakey mess on my forehead when I do use it on my baby hairs.

(Now, this one isn't in the above picture and I'm not quite sure why, but it's awesome too)...

Coconut Shea All Natural Pudding Souffle ($8.99 from edenbodyworks.com) - This does for London's thick tresses what the Curl Defining Cream does for mine. Plus it's fantastic for twist out and braid outs and up do's.

So basically, the whole line rocks my socks off. And it smells like coconuts! And it's inexpensive. And it's FANTASTIC!!! Not only can you find it online, it's sold at WalMart, Sally Beauty, and Kroger stores. So, GO GET SOME!!! Until next time...
