Get Color AND Protection for Your Lips From Burt's Bees!

Get Color and Protection From Burt's Bees

We all know {or at least, we should} that Burt's Bees offers a spectacular collection of lip balms, in a variety of flavors and purposes to suit anyone's needs. But did you know that they have a fantastic line of colored lip products too? There's more to Burt's Bees then treating chapped lips... {products sent for review}

Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Gloss in Sunny Day and Ocean Sunrise

Available in 12 beautiful, shimmering shades, ranging from nude/neutrals, pinks, reds, and plums- Burt's Bees 100% Lip Gloss {MSRP $9 available at burtsbees.com} gives rich, pearlized color, combined with natural, nutrient rich oils rich to leave your lips soft and shiny. The shades I picked, Sunny Day and Ocean Sunrise, are the perfect, toss in your purse or gym bag shades. They're super easy to swipe on when you don't have a mirror handy, but you want to add a bit of color and moisture to your pout. They do have a touch of glitter/shimmer, but we're talking more pixie dust than disco ball {if that makes any sense}.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Raisin and Cherry

These thin little tubes pack quite the punch, with their invigorating peppermint flavor and bright pop of shimmering color. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer {MSRP $5 available at burtsbees.com} is also available in a wide range of 12 shades and surprisingly {to me at least} actually provide the most pigment of the lip color products we tried. Raisin was chosen for me by the nifty Lip Shade Finder tool on the website, and it makes me look like I just enjoyed a glass {or two} of the finest red syrah, while Cherry makes it looks as if you just had a tall glass of Kool Aid {and I mean that in the best possible way}. They also contain one of my favorite moisturizing ingredients, shea butter, as well as antioxidant-rich fruit oils to moisturize, nourish and soften lips.

Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Shine

These I LOVE! Such juicy, sheer color-they look beautiful on their own and topped over any lip stick. Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Shine {$7 available at burtsbees.com} comes in six barely there, juicy shades. We tried Blush and Pucker and love both {literally had a bit of squabble over who get's which one}. You can immediately feel the moisturizing effects of the Apricot Oil in the formula. Plus they smell and taste yummy!

And don't forget Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm {$7 available at burtsbees.com}! For just a hint of color and a whole lot of conditioning, these softly tinted balms come in a range of 9 naturally flattering shades, 4 of which are new!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Caramel Daisy and Blush Orchid

But we can not do a post about Burt's Bees without including the lip balm! I am OBSESSED with the newest formula, Revitalizing Lip Balm with Blueberry and Dark Chocolate. Not only does it smell out of this world, it has the staying power that I've only ever encountered with Burt's Bees balms. I love them so, because you can apply in the morning, drink your morning cup, eat breakfast, talk on the phone, have a snack- and not need to reapply until after lunch! They have a miraculous way of sealing moisture in and keeping your lips feeling lush and pampered. Can you tell that I'm a fan {I mean, I did include them among my Top Ten Lip Balms}!

Fun little fact, half of all the lovely shades featured were actually selected for me via the Lip Shade Finder tool on the Burt's Bees website. I have to admit, I'm super impressed with its selections for me because they were SPOT ON! All of them worked for my taste and complexion beautifully. I also really like that they are all natural products, now that Peyton is officially wearing some makeup, I feel totally fine with her wearing Burt's Bees lip products-they're just the right amount of pigment for a girl here age, plus they are good for her lips. Have you tried any of Burt's Bees color products? What's your favorite? See any here that you'd like to try? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you're thinking. BTW: The photo collage on top and all the product pictures {except the very last one of the Revitalizing Lip Balm} were done by Peyton! I think she did a pretty good job! Until next time...
