CGC for the Mini Me's! Mixed Chicks Leave In Conditioner and Hair Silk Review

Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner and Hair Silk (product sent for review consideration)

From mixedchicks.net:

"...a curl-defining system for "us". Whether you're black, white, asian, latin, mediterranean, or any glorious combination of the above, you'll love the way these non-sticky, lightweight curly hair products leave your hair inviting to touch as they define and lock moisture into every curl. Be a proud part of our multiracial movement..."MIXED CHICKS" your curls! And yes, it not only works on wavy, tightly curled or straight hair but it also works on weaves."

My hubby is actually responsible for introducing me to the Mixed Chicks brand: when Lo was about 1.5/2 years old and we discovered she had naturally curly hair similar to mine, he went on the hunt for products to care for and accentuate her curl pattern {because the products that worked for me were not working for her}. He discovered Mixed Chicks and literally searched high and low until he found products in a salon close by for us to try out...

The product that started it all for us... Our well-loved bottle of Mixed Chicks Shampoo!

So we were already fans of the shampoo {I like it for my own curls, but generally reserve it for Lo because it works particularly well in her hair} and the deep conditioner {hands down, my favorite product from the brand thus far-look into it!}, but was excited to accept the opportunity to review more from Mixed Chicks...

Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner

Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner has been a life saver, this past week especially! We had to get up super duper early to get ready for Pup Camp {an intro to kindergarten at the school Lo will be attending this fall} and my little ones do not take well to being woken up {life is much better for everyone when they wake up naturally of their own accord}. That means a lot of hair to do in not a lot of time. This leave-in works beautifully on all of our varying textures of hair. I actually keep it downstairs so that I can grab it to use when I need to make our hair look good in a hurry! I love that it can be used in multiple ways: I use it as a conditioner for Kenzie after shampooing {it's hard getting her to cooperate for the shampoo process let alone traditional rinse out conditioners so this is perfect}, for Lo as a moisturizer after washing and conditioning, with a spray bottle of water in between washing for day to day detangling and moisturizing {and I find that it's the only product that Kenzie and I need for "wash and go" hair styles}, and to smooth out the girls' hair when I put it up in curly pony/puffs. It leaves our hair soft, smooth, and the curls bouncy and frizz free.

Mixed Chicks Gloss and Shining Hair Silk

Mixed Chicks Gloss and Shining Hair Silk is the perfect finishing touch for any hairstyle, regardless of the texture! It adds the right amount of shine/sheen to our hair to make it look like I spent a lot of time on it {even if I really didn't}. Plus it seals in moisture, but doesn't leave our hair looking or feeling greasy or heavy {and it smells FANTASTIC}

I know this is a black and white photo {and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook then you've already seen this}, but this is a picture {that my uber talented hubby took} of the girls, after we used Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner and Hair Silk in their hair...

Mixed Chicks products are available for purchase on their website (mixedchicks.net) or you can use the store finder on the site to find them in a retail location near you! Until next time...
