The inspiration for this month's Julep color selections was "Get ready to play!" With just about everyone longing for the warm, bright welcome of Spring, I think it's a super fitting theme!
I'm not gonna lie, I just wasn't in the mood to swatch, but I really do adore the fresh, pastel colors that arrived in my It Girl box, so I thought why not enlist one of my girls to help with the task?
I received 3 polishes (Shenae, Simone, and Teri) and an adorable Strawberry Mint Lip Balm.
Shenae is described as a pastel mint green opalescent shimmer. The pearl finish is more apparent in the bottle than on the nail, but it is still present. After applying 3 coats for full opacity, it comes off a bit more sky blue in person, but you can definitely detect hints of mint green (especially in these photos).
Simone is described as a soft pastel lilac opalescent shimmer. Like with Shenae, the opalescent shimmer is more obvious in the bottle, but you can still see a bit of it on the nail. I think that if you are pleased with a more sheer finish and stop at one or two coats, the shimmer with be more apparent. I used 3 coats of this one as well in order to reach full opacity. It's a gorgeous lilac, with hints of pink-super girly and feminine.

Teri is described as a tropical coral pink crème. In the bottle and on the nail, the polish is definitely a pretty coral shade, but I don't really see a hint of pink. It skews more orange/peach in my opinion. But it is absolutely gorgeous and will look so great on tan toes. Thank goodness open toe shoe season is upon us!
