My Beauty Resolution with Julep! AKA: A Different Kind of Mani Monday

I've been a Julep Maven for about a year now and I must admit, it is my favorite beauty subscription box to date {meaning, I've never ever felt inclined to skip a month AND I have no plans in the near future to cancel}! For $19.99 a month, you receive up to 3 nail polishes {depending on your style profile, you either receive 2 polishes and a beauty treatment or 3 polishes}, that are "4-free" and right on trend. I've featured them quite a bit on the blog, both in "unboxing" posts and as part of my "Anatomy of a Mani" posts, but this time, I'm going to show you a little something different...

NAKED NAILS!!!!!

So yeah, those are my poor, overworked nails in all of their naked shame. They're actually not so bad, but I change my polish fairly often and have an addiction to glitter, which is torturous to remove, so they have seen better days. But as I plan on featuring my nails more often on the blog {more Anatomy of a Mani posts and swatching}, I figured it was high time to take much better care of them.

Enter Julep with this wonderful opportunity to try their new Nail Therapy Base Coat and Julep Reveal Nail Growth Revitalizing Serum, aka their Nail Growth Revitalizing System

Our nail plate cells are made of keratin, a type of protein composed of amino acids. Protein is like a long chain that can be tied together like the rungs on a ladder to form a 'cross-link'. This cross linkage gives the nail plate strength, while oils and moisture form the 'cement' that hold the nail plate cells together and keep them well lubricated, making nails strong and flexible.

The cutting-edge peptides in Julep Nail Growth Revitalizing Serum stimulate keratin genes and cell proliferation to boost the growth of stronger nails, while Julep Nail Therapy strengthens and nourishes the nails with Vitamin E. The Julep Nail Growth Revitalizing System will give you dramatically stronger nails and cuticles.

So I will be using the Nail Therapy as my base coat with all my manicures for the next month or so, I will also be applying the Revitalizing Serum all around my cuticles and under the free edge of my nails, twice a day, as well. I started yesterday, and will do a follow up post at the end of February to show you all the results. I will also be updating on Instagram, so you can follow me there to see more frequent updates. If you are interested in trying out the Julep Nail Growth Revitalizing System it is available on the Julep website for $46 (or $36.80 if you are a Maven), or you can buy the pieces separately at $38 ($30.40 Maven price) for the Nail Growth Revitalizing Serum and $16 ($12.80 Maven price) for the Nail Therapy Base Coat.

Until next time...
