See? Pretty awesome! I don't have color treated hair, but often times I find that products marketed towards color treated hair are well suited for curly hair as well, as they are super moisturizing and non stripping. So here's what I thought after trying Pureology's Precious Oil Line...

My Take- I like the shampoo okay... Considering that is has oil in it, I think I was expecting it to be more rich, or something. I actually used it after the conditioner, and while I feel like it cleaned my hair and my scalp very well, I also think that it left my hair drier than I would like, or even expect from a shampoo that has oil in it. All in all, when used in combination with the conditioner and masque in the line, I was pleased with the shampoo. But I do think that I will continue to use it following a conditioning treatment and follow it with something rich and hydrating for my hair. On another note, this is probably a great shampoo to use when you are looking to gently clarify your hair and remove product build up.
Product Description- Precious Oil Softening Condition (MSRP $29) is a daily, detangling concentrated conditioner that improves manageability, restores softness and boosts shine. Precious Oil advanced system delivers 10X softer hair and also features the groundbreaking Green Seal Certified Versatile Caring Oil, the first 100% biodegradable product that is free of silicone and parabens for colour-treated hair.
Ingredients- Aqua / Water / Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil / Sunflower Seed Oil, Brassicamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Cetyl Esters, Parfum / Fragrance, Aspartic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Linalool, Cocos Nucifera Oil / Coconut Oil, Coumarin, Helianthus Annuus Seed Extract / Sunflower Seed Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein
My Take- The scent of the conditioner (the whole line really) is vaguely reminiscent of hair spray, it's not bad (it's actually kinda nice), it's just not what one might expect. I tried something different with this conditioner and used it in the shower to detangle my wet hair before shampooing. I have to say that I was super impressed! It made an immediate difference in the way that my hair felt and it made is so so easy to get the tangles out (and I'm not gonna lie, my hair was a mess-I hadn't detangled it in about a week). Even after my hair dried, it remained soft and smooth. I don't know that it actually did anything to improve my curls or minimize frizz, but it definitely worked wonders on the texture and feel of my hair in general. I think that combined with a good cream or styler, this is a great product in any curly girls arsenal. This is definitely a conditioner that I will be using to the last drop!
Product Description- Precious Oil Softening Hair Masque (MSRP $50) is a weekly, intense deep-penetrating nourishing treatment that fortifies the hair cuticle to illuminate shine. Oil-based formula replicates the way hair absorbs nutrients to intelligently deliver 4X active ingredients from root to tip to provide superior colour retention for longer lasting hair colour.
Ingredients- Aqua / Water / Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil / Sunflower Seed Oil, Brassicamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Cetyl Esters, Parfum / Fragrance, Aspartic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Linalool, Cocos Nucifera Oil / Coconut Oil, Coumarin, Helianthus Annuus Seed Extract / Sunflower Seed Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein
My Take- Out of the 4 products from this line that I've tried (the shampoo, the conditioner, and the oil), the masque was hands down my favorite! It is super pricey, so I will be using it sparingly, but honestly, it's good stuff! It's thick without being goopy and coated my tresses in a cocoon of richness. My hair was soft and silk when I rinsed out the masque. It did a wonderful job of hydrating and moisturizing my hair, but I don't know if it did anything for my curls. I am happy with the results and will continue to use the masque when my hair needs a bit of extra tlc. Combined with an additional product specifically for curls, I think that this product is great (if you're willing to shell out the moola for it)!

My Take- This oil may rank up there with Mizani's Supreme Oil for me! My preferred use for oils in general (especially silky thin ones like this) is for dry finger detangling (my pre poo treatment) and this worked superbly for that! It smells awesome, isn't too sticky or heavy or greasy and it was just what I needed to detangle my third day tresses. It left my hair soft, smooth, and oh so shiny. I love that it didn't take a lot of product to do the job as well. I am definitely a fan!
So over all, I really liked the line, but there were some definite hits (the masque and the oil) and some misses (the Shamp'Oil). Have you had a chance to try out the line? What's your take on Pureology? Are you as obsessed with oils as I am? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
