GMYMO: Beauty Essentials for the Gym

The arrival of Back to School sales generally signals the end of summer for me. But just because bathing suit season is coming to a close doesn’t mean you should start cheating on your workouts! I know personally, the thought of becoming a sweaty mess sometimes deters me from getting my workout done. Never fear lovelies, with the products below, you can feel like you're rewarding yourself for working out as hard as you do AND you will look great before, during and after your workout. Check them out!

A Fresh Start

Whether you are going for a run, attending a yoga class or an intense spin class, the last thing anyone wants is to start breaking out! Once you start sweating, your pores open up and become unclogged which does wonders for your complexion. However, if you are still wearing makeup, it will seep into your opened pores and cause skin irritations and breakouts. Get a fresh start before your workout by wiping your face clean with Lumene Sensitive Touch Cleansing Wipes. These wipes will take off all your makeup in one easy step - with no mess and no irritation. These alcohol-free wipes sweep quickly, gently yet thoroughly clean away dirt, oil and makeup from the skin without water.

Brows That Wow

Defined arches frame your face, pulling your features into focus. So if your brows are perfectly groomed, you can look polished and pretty without a bit of makeup. The Sally Hansen Brows that Wow Diamond Slant Tip Tweezer is a workhorse. It is perfect for working in between or above the brows. The platform design inside the tips means even more hair-grabbing capability; this design is coated with diamond particles for superior gripping power of ultra-fine hairs. I keep this handy tool in my makeup bag at all times for on the go touch ups!

Wash It All Away

Refresh and cleanse skin post workout for a radiant, healthy glow with Lumene Radiant Touch Refreshing Foam Cleanser. This light, creamy foam cleanser removes all impurities as it refreshes with its invigorating scent. Unique arctic cloudberry oil helps to boost your skin's natural radiance leaving skin feeling clean, fresh and radiant.

Looking for a quick and easy post-workout hair tip? “After showering, shake hair dry to remove excess moisture. Then run a leave-in conditioner through your hair and twist into a low chignon for a sleek style. If you’d rather wear your hair down, run a styling cream through damp hair, wrap one inch sections around your fingers to define as you blow dry. Once dry, flip your head and shake it out for a sexy, wavy look in minutes!” – Edward Tricomi, co-owner of Warren-Tricomi salons

Soothe And Smooth Tired, Rough Soles

Are your feet paying the price of going a little too hard on your run? Give the Sally Hansen Prep Your Pedi Foot Smoother Kit to exfoliate rough skin and thick calluses while pampering toes. The kit includes a micro-fine steel file, ceramic stone, smoother and brush.

Follow these easy steps to keep your feet picture perfect:

  1. Soak feet in warm water to soften (a neat, old school trick: add some Epsom Salt!).
  2. Gently rub feet and heels with micro-fine steel file to safely remove tough skin and calluses.
  3. Soften feet with the ceramic abrasive.
  4. Last but not least, moisturize with Sally Hansen Moisturizing Foot Cream.

So now there is absolutely no excuse for me (or you) to not get my Zumba on! Lol :) What are your tips to keep pretty during and after your workout? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
