MMM: Glitters and Pastels the Sally Hansen Way

Mama's Mani Madness: Glitter and Pastels from Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen is a beauty industry leader, providing anything a woman could need for her nails while remaining budget friendly, fun, easy, and accessible for any style, trend, and skill level. Whether you want to keep your fingers office appropriate, bling out your nails with glitter galore, or find a happy medium, here are a few products from Sally Hansen that can help you get the look that is just right for you!

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Color + Care in Whisper, Sea, and Air

Smooth and Perfect Color + Care is the perfect way to add a hint of color to your tips and still stay office appropriate. In a range of 8 creamy pastels, this breakthrough nail color hides ridges and imperfections with a breathable porcelain-smooth finish. Enhanced with ginseng, camelia oil and lotus to promote stronger, healthier nails.

Gem Crush Nail Color in Showgirl Chic, Big Money, Bling-Tastic, and Be-Jeweled

My girls and I have glitter running through our veins, and 9 times out of ten our nails reflect our sparkling nature. One of my favorite products to get our glitter on is Sally Hansen's Gem Crush. It's available in 8 different variations and unlike other glitter polishes, it only takes 1 coat to get full coverage on your nails and 2 coats makes them sparkletastic (yes I said it)!

Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Rockstar Pink, Disco Ball, Strobe Light,  Lacey Lilac, and Mint Sorbet

Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color line is the perfect, affordable way to strengthen your nails, while giving them beautiful color and shine. For around $2.50 a bottle and in 30 shades, you can match your manicure to your mood! Fun, trendy shades — collect them all and change your nail polish as often as you like!  This line provides a happy medium between the subtle shades in the Smooth and Perfect collection and the in your face sparkle of the Gem Crush collection. In fact, I found a few dupes: Lacey Lilac is a more opaque version of Whisper, as is Mint Sorbet to Sea. For a more subtle (yet buildable) glitter, Rockstar Pink is a good dupe of Be-Jeweled and Strobe Light is like Razzle Dazzler's (not pictured) shy little sister.

One of my favorite nail trends is the accent nail, and I love using a pretty pastel (or neon) all of my nails except for my left ring finger and my right pointer. I apply a complimentary (or contrasting) glitter to those two nails. Playing with your nail color is so much fun and a great way to be creative and experiment with trends. Sally Hansen really has everything you need to play and create a signature look all your own.

What nail trends are you loving? What are you rocking on your nails right now? Is Sally Hansen well represented in your polish collection? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and tell me what you think. Until next time...

Ciao, XxO

  1. Pretty! I love any mint or lilac pastel shades and not to mention green or teal glitter! Thanks for the heads up, I've been avoiding Walgreens and CVS for the past month!

    1. Mint and Lilac seem to be the IT shades for the past couple of seasons! Bling Tastic is the perfect teal glitter too, you should definitely try that out! I really like that I can try out so many different things and not spend a ridiculous amount of money (with 4 girls in the house, we could be spending a small fortune on polish if it wasn't for Sally Hansen)! I actually have pictures of several different looks with some of these products, but I couldn't fit them all in this post. Maybe I'll do another with all of the combinations I've done in action!
