LUSH Grand Opening at the MoG

An assortment of LUSH goodies!

I've mentioned it in a few previous posts (here, here, and here) that I LOVE LUSH and how uber excited I am that there was a store opening in the mall closest to me, the Mall of Georgia. Well, the day finally arrived, and I had the distinct pleasure of being able to interview the store manager (the FABULOUS Ebony) and enjoy some of the grand opening festivities!

An array of prepackaged goodies, perfect for gifting!

If I wasn't already familiar with (and a fan of) LUSH, the inviting storefront and friendly, welcoming staff would be the perfect introduction, and more than enough to win me over. The distinct (and delightful) aroma of LUSH greets you before you even see the store, immediately engaging your senses. When you approach the store, it is bright and fun and appealing to the eyes. It's like a bright and wonderful sensory playground for everyone!

If you're curious about how Bubble Bars, Bath Bombs, and Massage Bars work, the friendly staff is happy to demonstrate all the ways LUSH makes getting clean fun!

As a company, what LUSH stands for is something that I can really appreciate, in fact it was the company's values that served as part of the motivation that prompted Ebony to leave a long and  successful career as a make up artist and manager (for a very large, very popular and well known brand) to join team LUSH. As stated on their website: "We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics. We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans."

Ocean Salt is one of LUSH's best selling products (as well as one of Ebony's personal favorites)!

While Ebony is a trained esthetician (one of the other factors that attracted her to LUSH was their commitment to caring for and pampering the skin with the best ingredients possible), the entire staff is trained to give various treatments including facials and hand massages. All the locations are available for hosting private parties (kids' parties, romantic couples' pampering sessions, and girl's night outs) as well! The entire staff in the Mall of Georgia location was warm and friendly; one of the ladies even took the time to show Lo (my 4 year old daughter) how to create Mermaid Water with a special bath bomb and bubble bar combination, and spent a good 10 minutes just letting her play in the concoction! Of course I had to buy the goodies used so that we could recreate it on a bigger scale for bath time at home...

How pretty are these Bath Bombs! Can you believe that they are all made by hand! (We bought the yellow one.)

More beautiful Bath Bombs

All of the soaps  are also made by hand,  in small batches and poured into large moulds. This allows for less packaging, and it is hand cut and wrapped in deli paper for purchase!

"LUSH soaps are some of our most creative products and we're pretty confident that you won't find finer soaps anywhere else. You'll find more expensive ones; this doesn't mean that they're better. With LUSH you get what you pay for and a whole lot more too. We fill our bars with copious quantities of essential oils, fresh fruit and vegetables all in a piece of affordable luxury. Plus, they all get dirt off your body!"

And LUSH is not just for the ladies! There is an awesome selection for men as well!

So if you couldn't already tell, I'll probably be spending a lot of time (and $$) in LUSH, but it's so well worth it! Between using Honey, I Washed the Kids soap, Ocean Salt scrub, Dream Cream body lotion, and Angels on Bare Skin face wash: I already know that LUSH knows how to take care of my skin, pamper my senses and keep me coming back for more. A don't fret if there is not a LUSH store near you! Not only do they offer their wares online (www.lush.com),  LUSH is expanding and that will be opening in locations across the country with more street front locations, mall shops, and store-in-store concepts. LUSH’s expansion doesn’t stop at the Mall of Georgia, but new locations will be popping up in Denver, Buffalo, Phoenix and Charlotte too!

Do you have a LUSH in your area or have you made a purchase on line? What are your favorite products (I need some ideas for the next time I visit the store)? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...

Ciao, XxO

  1. Hi! I'm a mommy of 3 and my kids and I also adore Lush. It's a major obsession. Products that I live and breathe for would be: It's Raining Men shower gel, Love Lettuce face mask, the Comforter bubble bar, Bubblegum lip scrub for my kids, Sweetie Pie shower jelly, Godmother soap. Ahhh, the bath bombs! (Honey Bee, Dragon's Egg) The list goes on and on....

    1. There is so much to love about LUSH! The girls loved taking a bath with the Fizzbanger Bath Bomb and Sunny Side Bubble Bar; they came out of the tub so soft and sweet smelling :) Next time we stop by the store, I'm definitely getting the Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar and at least a few bath bombs and bubble bars (some for the kiddies and some for me)!
