A Day in the Life: Red Bull Soapbox Race

Yesterday we returned to Piedmont Park (which is swiftly becoming one of my favorite places) for the Red Bull Soapbox Races. It was really kind of spectacular! There were SO many people there, but I didn't see an ounce of trouble or drama. Red Bull and beer were flowing copiously and there was such a wide variety of food trucks; I was slightly disappointed that we had brought our own provisions for a picnic lunch. C'est la vie!

There were so many fun and funny characters and inventive cars, and just the sheer amount of people made it difficult to focus and take pictures (especially since I was pushing a stroller and navigating through a massive crowd), so I didn't get as many good ones as I wanted to truly depict how much fun we had. But here's what I did get...

We had so much fun, despite the heat and enormous crowd! I hope that this will be an annual event. While at the park, we also took the opportunity to walk around and explore (we usually set up in the same general area). The grounds are so beautiful! We're planning on returning next Saturday for the farmer's market (yum)! Until next time...

Ciao, XxO
