Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl Face & Body

I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I know I'm not alone, so here goes: I really like TV. And I really enjoy "reality" TV. In fact, I think Bravo may be one of my favorite channels. For me, it started with the first season of Top Chef and just exploded from there. So I actually remember the first season of Real Housewives of New York, when Bethenny Frankel stood out as the lone "non" wife in the cast. She also didn't talk like the other wives, or live the same lifestyle (or on the same side of town). She was easier to relate to, because her story, her life, mirrored other women's life in a way that the other cast members just did not.

I also remember the sense of happiness I felt for her to see her business ventures flourish (did you see the Bethenny Ever After where she and her hubby visited the Skinnygirl bottling plant? And have you seen the commercials for Skinnygirl cocktails lately? There's 4 vodkas, 5 cocktails, and 3 wines now!), we were pregnant at around the same time, and to see her tie the knot and live and learn the challenges of being part of the partnership that is marriage.

It was only a couple of  years ago that Bethenny was single and struggling to pay rent on her 750 foot apartment in New York. When she was on the Real Housewives of New York, she quickly became a sensation because she is relatable – she tells it like it is! Women across America reacted to  her being herself and being honest. Now, Bethenny Frankel is a reality TV star, mother, best-selling author, entrepreneur, and talk-show host!

If you live in certain markets (unfortunately Atlanta is not one of them, so I can't watch her), you can tune into “Bethenny” to hear her two-cents on everything from big butts to beauty solutions. She is one of those women who don’t always buy into the hype of expensive beauty products and loves to give DIY beauty tips like using Miracle Whip as moisturizer or bananas on your pimples. This is why she created Skinnygirl Face & Body Solutions, an affordable, no-nonsense skincare collection that was made for women just like her all across America. I got a chance to try out a few of the products from the line and was truly impressed.

With the heat sky rocketing all over the country, Skinnygirl Mommy Cool Your Feet Spray (MSRP $7.89) is just the thing to relieve you from the sweltering heat. Cool your achingly tired feet by misting them with soothing essential ingredients such as cucumber, aloe and peppermint for a revitalizing burst of freshness. Feet feel instantly refreshed and pampered!

You all know how much I love oil, and Skinnygirl Mommy Soothing Body Oil (MSRP $8.89) is no exception. It's lightweight formula helps to rejuvenate dry, stretching skin, pre- or post-pregnancy, with a combination of natural oils that restore skin's natural moisture for a beautifully hydrated feel. Even the driest skin is no match for this ultra-hydrating salve that reclaims your skin in an instant. It's perfect on it's own or mixed into your favorite lotion for an added moisture boost.

And while this is not quite my shade (it probably would've been perfect before my tan, but now I just mix it with a bit of foundation to warm it up), I love the Skinnygirl Tinted Daily Moisturizer with Vitamin E

It has Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and the neatest applicator brush as part of the packaging!

Now that I've tried some of what Skinnygirl Face & Body has to offer, I'm fully convinced that I need to have all of the Skinnygirl drinks too (I mean, there's a Peach Margarita and White Cranberry Cosmopolitan)! What do you think of Bethenny Frankel and the Skinnygirl brand? Are the drinks as delicious as they look? Is she as brash and honest on her talk show as she was on her "reality" TV shows? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
