NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm (Review and Swatches)

NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Chocolate Apple, Applelicious Pink, and Big Apple Red

I'm a big fan of NYC New York Color products {I've got reviews here and here} for a couple of reasons: they're easily accessible, inexpensive, and fun! I'm taking another look at the brand as of late because I think that they are a perfect introductory brand for my oldest daughter, who is just itching to begin her foray into cosmetics {not to mention that the price point is great for her to be able to experiment without breaking the bank}. I particularly enjoy their cute lip products and so I welcomed the opportunity to review the new Applelicious Glossy Lip Balms

Yet Another Reason to Love Lavanila (Especially If You're In the NYC Area)!

Lavanila Laboratories The Healthy Deodorant in Vanilla Blackberry

I've already waxed poetic numerous times on how much I love Lavanila {here, here and here, just to name a few}, so I'll keep my part in this brief. I just received The Healthy Deodorant in Vanilla Blackberry and I'm OBSESSED! It is so good! Smells delicious {sort of like warm berry pie a la mode} and some how, some way, keeps me feeling fresh regardless of how much the girls stress me or the Georgia heat intensifies. So I say to thee, go get you some!

Quickie Review: Nad's Facial Wax Strips (AKA-I'm In Love with aStripper)

Nad's Facial Wax Strips

I remember seeing the infomercials for Nad's back in the day, and really wanting to try the novel looking green goo out, but eventually punking out and going for standard razors and depilatories. Then I had kids and realized I could withstand all sorts of pain and if it meant being smooth and hairless, I could endure.

May Favorites: Mini Me Edition!

My darling girl :)

I talk a lot about my youngest daughters {probably because they are at home with me ALL DAY!}, but I also have a 12 {going on 13 very soon} year old daughter named Peyton. She's beautiful, smart, thoughtful, and oh so creative! She loves to read, music, beauty, and fashion - so she may not look a bit like me, but in a lot of ways, she really is a "mini" me {I put mini in quotes because at this point she's actually taller than me}! I thought it would be fun to let her be more involved with the blog {in hopes that will quench her desire to be active on social media outlets that I think she is SOOOO not ready for} by doing book and product reviews when appropriate and sharing her monthly favorites. So without further ado, here are Peyton's May favorites...

Fab Five Fridays: Mama Mio Favorites

Fab Five Fridays: Mama Mio Favorites!

Though I have a real interest in taking care of the skin on my face, honestly I tend to neglect the rest of my body. Don't get me wrong, I make sure I'm clean and moisturized all over, but I pretty much tend to the basics when it comes to the skin that's not on my face. I think it may be because carrying 3 babies was not exactly kind to my skin and I feel that topical measures won't really do much to improve it's state so I've just given up. Lately my overall attitude about health, fitness and maintenance has improved for the better, including a more intensive look at how I take care of myself from head to toe, inside and out. Just in time for my "system overhaul" I got the opportunity to try some specially targeted body products from the international skincare brand, Mama Mio. I already have a great impression of the brand based on their Eye Know Eye Serum {which I reviewed here}, but these products have giving me even more reason to love the brand {and my body}!

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish!
