"UnTubing" The Latest New Beauty TestTube!

I recently shared the revamped New Beauty TestTube and I have to admit, I was super impressed! I didn't think they could raise the bar any higher, but somehow with their latest TestTube, they definitely have! {Product sent for consideration}

At $29.95, New Beauty TestTube is a bit more expensive than some other beauty subscriptions, but it is packed with more, high quality beauty goods AND it's bi-monthly - so it breaks down to $15 a month. And thus far, it seems to be well worth it {especially if you're a product junkie and you want to learn about new products without totally breaking the bank}!

This tube was a great mix of familiar and new-to-me brands and products...

Familiar:

  • I know from experience that Dove hair care {and skin care for that matter} is fantastic, so I was happy to see Dove Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. I like how they came together in a cute little organza bag - they are perfect for throwing in a gym bag or for traveling!
  • I believe that I actually featured the Lumene Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Cream in a Monthly Favorites post. The shade isn't quite right for me, but the benefits are undeniable, so I mix it with another product that is too dark, or I use it as a primer. I'm happy to have a back up of it now!
  • I won a deluxe sample of StriVectin-EV Get Even Brightening Serum on Facebook a while back and was blown away by the results I experienced {I had an allergic reaction to a necklace that left a prominent dark mark across the back of my neck and the serum cleared it up in about 2.5 weeks}. I'm excited to try the serum again, this time on my face!
  • I think I literally squealed when I saw the wee little jar of Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips! It so cute and little and pink! And although my lip balm game is generally a bit more elevated than traditional Vaseline, how can I resist such adorable packaging?!?
  • My experience with John Frieda Frizz Ease extends far past my blogging days - the original serum was a long time HG and a life changing product for me when it came to straightening my curls back in the day. The line has since expanded and I have grown to love the Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme - so I'm happy to have this little tube to take with me when I travel {or to toss in my purse to soothe frazzled hair when I'm on the go}. In the clever Beauty To-Go Bag, I also received a small bottle of the 3-Day Straight Semi Permanent Styling Spray. I'm looking forward to trying that out the next time I straighten my hair.
  • Molton Brown is a brand I'm only vaguely familiar with {I believe that their products were the luxe amenities at a hotel I once stayed in}, but I'm stoked to try this Pink Pepperpod Nourishing Body Lotion nonetheless! It smells spicy (duh!) and vaguely masculine and I want to swim in a pool of it!
And now for the new-to-me stuff:

  • Um... I LOVE candles! I've never heard of Votivo but I'm going to burn this Icy Blue Pine Travel Candle as soon as possible. It smells like winter and will be perfect for setting a cozy mood.
  • Camille Beckman Morelia Monarch Glycerine Hand Therapy is another item I have no familiarity with, but my obsession with hand creams is well established, so I'm happy to add it to my arsenal.
  • Another one of my obsessions lately has been facial scrubs {stay tuned for a post featuring some of my favorites coming soon}, so I'm excited to try glo-therapeutics Refresh Facial Polish. The box also came with a code for $15 off my first order at gloprofessional.com , so that's pretty awesome too!
So it's safe to say that since I've pretty much loved the first two tubes, I'm really looking forward to my next one! This has been one of the most impressive subscription services I've had the pleasure of receiving and I highly recommend it. Do you subscribe to New Beauty TestTube? 1. I totally understand why it's more expensive - the contents make it totally worth the money!
