Simple, Glowing Summertime Skin with Rimmel London

All you need for pretty, glowing skin all summer long!

Someone on Instagram posed the question as to whether it was preferable to wear less makeup in the summer heat or to pack it on in an effort to stay flawless despite the heat. Personally, I opt for the less is more approach, but with the right products {like the ones pictured above from Rimmel London, which I was sent to try out for an honest review}, you can master a flawless looking complexion without piling on products!

Rimmel London Match Perfection Blush in 003 Medium

Rimmel London Match Perfection 3-Tone Blush ($5): A trio of perfectly coordinated blushes in one single palette, Rimmel’s Match Perfection 3-Tone Blush creates a natural flush of color on cheeks and contains blue sapphire pigments for an all-over healthy glow. I tested out shade 003 Medium and it has taken over as my HG blush {the previous one is also from Rimmel London and I rave about it here}. It adds the prettiest bit of fresh, natural looking color to my cheeks and does so much to brighten up my face. It's the only blush I've reached for since I received it!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 018 Creamy Beige

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder ($5) contains natural minerals to control shine for up to 5 hours and helps to diminish the appearance of pores. This {and the Match Perfection Blush} are what I reach for when I'm going out to run errands but don't have time to do a full face of makeup. The Stay Matte Powder is just what I need to even out my skin tone, take care of any shine, and give me an overall polished look, with a very minimal amount of effort. It's also great as a setting finishing powder!

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in 027 Sun Dance

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer ($5): This gives your face a  gorgeous, sunkissed glow. Available in four flattering shades, this bronzer is infused with minerals for a stunningly natural bronze. I love that I can use it to either add an extra bit of color all over my face, neck, and decolletage, or to lightly contour my cheeks {which I have learned is a surefire way to get the hubby to compliment me}.

Rimmel London BB Cream in Medium/Dark

Rimmel London BB Cream ($6.99): This 9-in-1 makeup bag must-have primes, moisturizes, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens and protects with SPF 25 for a flawless, 100% natural look. It is too hot and I am too oily to be bothered with foundation! I do find that it is a must that I top this with the Stay Matte Pressed Powder, as I am oily, and prefer a more matte finish {as opposed to the more dewy finish I get with this}. When I want to be extra fancy, I start with this, then apply the bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks, the blush to the apples, and top it all off with a dusting of Stay Matte, and voila! My skin looks flawless and glowing but I don't feel suffocated! I LOVE IT!!! Until next time...

  2. I agree on the bb cream. I don't wear makeup often being blessed with a pretty even tone (most weeks) but when I do hubby and I both prefer the dewy look as it looks like my natural skin. I may have to try that bronzer too. Great affordable options.
