All in One Drug Store Wonder-AKA: NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

I'm ALL ABOUT eye shadows and lately I've been amassing palettes like nobody's business-and trust me that can be very hard on the wallet! So it's good to know that the drugstore has affordable options that offer you everything you can possibly need for just about any eye look imaginable! One great option is NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compacts. For around $5, you get 4 shadows, a primer, and an illuminator!


I was able to try two Limited Edition Compacts: Hot Couture (specially compiled to make the most of green eyes) and Island Escape.


Here's a closer look at Hot Couture:

The swatches were photographed in natural light; the row on top is swatched over the primer base and the bottom row is without it.

All of the colors in this beautiful compact swatched perfectly, blended smoothly, and were very true to color. I will say that they perform much better over the primer base.

With the exception of the purple crease/contour shade, all of the shades in this compact performed just as well as the Hot Couture compact. I was slightly disappointed over the purple shade: it is very dry and barely transferred any pigment (and almost none when used on bare skin). The ice blue highlighter shade is quite pretty and looks absolutely gorgeous in the inner tear duct!
